Healthy Snacks: Berries & Banana Smoothie

I don’t know if it’s just me but mid-afternoon snacks are just the most exciting and crucial part of my meal plans. However, with my hot girl summer goals, I have had to revise what I snack on and behold, SMOOTHIES!! I am taking in all the vital nutrients while enjoying a yummy snack. Having tried a few variations of fruit combinations, I am confident that my favorite is berries and bananas. I mostly enjoy how all the flavors come together though it feels like the banana is overpowering the berries. Due to the seasonal availability of berries in Zimbabwe, I usually end up settling for the frozen berries from Spud Buds. Full Recipe below;

Ingredients

  • Spud Buds Berries Smoothie Mix(Strawberries and Blueberries)
  • Banana
  • Strawberry Yoghurt(or Mixed Berries)
  • Plain Yoghurt
  • Milk
  • Honey

Method

  • Cut the banana into small pieces and put all the fruits in a blender.
  • Add equal portions of the berries and plain yoghurt to the fruit mix in the blender.
  • Add milk and honey to the mix.
  • Blend till everything is smooth.
  • Serve in a glass of your choice, garnishing with either mint or the berries.
